The Story Behind DeepSpaceJournal

DeepSpaceJournal was founded by Francois Hoogstrate, born in 1984 in the Netherlands and currently living in Hungary.

From an early age, Francois has been fascinated by the universe and the endless possibilities hidden beyond our planet. Like many people who have looked up at the night sky and wondered what exists beyond the stars, he has always been drawn to the questions that do not have simple answers.

What is waiting beyond the edge of what we can observe?

How many worlds are still undiscovered?

Could life exist somewhere else in the universe?

And what can the mysteries of space teach us about humanity itself?

For Francois, space is not only about rockets and distant planets. It represents curiosity, exploration, imagination, and the idea that there is always something new to discover.

Living in Hungary, surrounded by a different landscape, culture, and perspective, has only strengthened that sense of curiosity and appreciation for the wider world — and the universe beyond it.
